Malayalam Cinema Icon Kunchacko Boban is a film producer, actor, and dancer who is the grandson of Kunchacko, the founder of Udaya Pictures. Boban became an overnight sensation with his performance in the 1997 film Aniyathipravu. His popular and box-office hits include Nayattu, Anjaam Pathiraa, Chaaver, Pada, Officer on Duty, etc.

Boban has starred in more than 100 films with brilliance and is also known as the “Chocolate Boy” because of his 'Romeo' character.

He trained in Bharatanatyam as a child and completed his primary and higher studies in Tamil Nadu. He graduated from Sanatana Dharma College in 1997 with a first-class B.Com. Kunchacko Boban made his film debut in 1981 with the movie Dhanya produced by his father. He has worked in more than 100 films in almost two decades. He entered the acting world completely with the film Aniathipravu (1997). It was directed by versatile director Fazil and the movie is considered the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. After that, He acted in more films like Niram (1999), Sathyam Sivam Sundaram (2000), and Kalyanaraman (2002).

He temporarily retired from the film industry in 2005. Then in 2016, Kunchacko revamped Uday Pictures Film Production.
