Earlier life, education and The Band Black

Tahsan Khan was born on 18^th October, 1979 in Dhaka, Bangladesh and grew up in Dhaka. Earlier he lived in Bikrampur, Munshiganj, Dhaka. He started his musical career in the late 90s' with an alternative rock band called "Black". He then left the band (Black) and started a solo career, his first solo album being Kothopokothon (2004).

Brittalpona, Kothopokothon, Opekhkhar Upekhkha, and Khoma were some of the best songs from this album through which he reached the audience.

Education

Tahsan Khan Completed his second MBA from the University of Minnesota, on a Fulbright scholarship. Before being attached to Minnesota, Tahsan completed BBA in marketing and MBA in finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.

He completed his secondary study at Saint Joseph High School and higher secondary at Notre Dame College, Dhaka. This musician learned singing from Shishu Academy and Chhayanaut.

Tahsan's Success in Music and Films

After completing his education, Tahsan Khan joined a Bangladeshi rock band called "Black" and released several songs as a collaborator with them. Among them was "Prarthonad" (2021), "Amar Prithibi" (2017) was the best. He started his professional career by joining a company called Unilever Bangladesh and where he worked for one year.

Then he joined Eastern University in 2006 and started his teaching career and after that Tahsan entier the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh as a researcher in 2008. Apart from music and acting career, he was also involved in teaching.

Musical Career

Tahsan Khan started his musical career at the age of 21 with the rock music band "Black". Tahsan was attached to Black from 2000-2005. Later he left the band and start his own solo musical career in 2005 by releasing "Kothopokothon" (2004) album.

In 2012 he formed a new band called "Tahsan & The Sufis" and during that time he and his wife Mithila released several albums through this band. During that time he worked on several studio albums and songs. These include especially Kothopokothon (2004), Krittodasher Nirban (2005), Icchche (2006), Nei (2007), Prottaborton (2011), Uddessho Nei (2014), etc.

Tahsan acted in films also. Starring in films include “Chuye Dile Mon (2015), “Jodi Ekdin” (2019), and “Chok” (2023). Tahsan Khan made his television acting debut in 2004 with the popular Bengali drama “Offbeat” where he acted alongside famous Dhallywood actress Jaya Ahsan. It was a Valentine's Day special drama and directed by Afsana Mimi.

Later he acted in more than 100 dramas on the OTT platform. In his film and drama career, he has acted with several popular stars like Arifin Shuvoo, Chanchal Chowdhury, Jaya Ahsan, and Nusrat Imrose Tisha. Nilpori Nilanjona (2013) was the first drama where Tahsan first time met and acted with Zakia Bari Mamo and it was a successful drama directed by Shihab Shaheen. After that, in 2019 he played the role of Faisal in the Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz directed film 'Jodi Ekdin,' opposite Indian Tollywood actress Srabanti Chatterjee in which he played the role of Aritri.

This movie got quite a response at that time. In 2022, he completed a family drama film named 'Money Machine' and this was also directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.

Personal life

When Tahsan Khan was a student at Dhaka University, he met Rafiath Rashid Mithila in 2004. Rafiath Rashid Mithila was a model and actress. They got married on August 3, 2006. They have a daughter named Ayra (Ayra Tehrim Khan). In 2017, the couple divorced.

Their daughter, Ayra was just four years old when they are divided. It was actually very sad news for the audience, the most well-known face, and successful celebrity Tahsan Mithila is no more together.
