Selen Soyder (Mükerrem Selen Soyder) is a Turkish model, actress, and former beauty pageant who won the Miss World Turkey 2007 and awarded for Best National Costume category in Miss Bikini of the Universe, in 2006.

After that Soyder cast in her first film 'Yer Gök Ask' in 2010, and a few years later in 2017, she received a nomination for the Golden Butterfly Award with Can Yaman as Best TV Couple. It was the 2016 TV series 'Hangimiz Sevmedik?' And there her role name was Itir Yesil.

Earlier life & Education

Selen was born on 26^th December, 1986 in Turkey. Actress and Beauty Pageant whose full name is Mükerrem Selen Soyder. Her parents are known to be of Greek origin.

She completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at Selma Yiğitalp Anatolian High School in Izmir. After that, Soyder started graduation in History Department at Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey and she graduated in 2009.

Career & Beauty Contest

Soyder was selected as the second beauty in the "Miss Model of Turkey" contest in 2006 and received the "Miss Bikini of the Universe" award in the best national costume category.

After that In 2007, she participated in the 'Miss Turkey' beauty pageant organized by Star TV and was selected as Miss Turkey, in which a total of 1,200 people participated. In the same year, she participated in the Miss World pageant on the island of Sanya in China and represented Turkey among the 106 participating countries. But she failed to win first place.

After returning from China, she modeled at Vakko. She then went to Canada to learn the Canadian language and returned to Turkey in 2009.

Movie and TV Roles: 'Yer Gök Aşk,' 'Lale Devri' and 'Reaksiyon'

From 2010 to 2016, Soyder starred in leading character roles in a total of four Turkish TV series. She played the role of Toprak Karagül in the 2010 TV series “Love is in the Air”, (Original title “Yer Gök Aşk”). Later she acted in the role of Toprak Ilgaz in the 2010-2014 TV series “Lale Devri,” Both of these TV series are presented by Fox TV.

She was in Star TV presented TV series “Reaksiyon” as Zeynep in 2014. Reaksiyon was her highest-rated TV series. According to the IMDB database, the TV series achieved a rating of 7.1 out of 10 from the audience. She starred here with Erdal Besikçioglu, Melis Isiten, and Ibrahim Celikkol, in the role name Zeynep. The series was written and directed by Ozan Aksungur.

In 2016-17 drama TV series 'Hangimiz Sevmedik?', played the role of 'Itir Yesil', Where she and Can Yaman, both received Golden Butterfly Award nominations in the Best TV Couple category.

Then she took a break from acting and this year starred in a comedy romance film called “In Your Dreams,” (Original title: “Rüyanda Görürsün”) which was released in February 2023.

Can Yaman and Selen Soyder Controversy

In 2016, Turkish actor Can Yaman was accused of defaming Selen in the scenes of the TV series "Hangimiz Sevmedik?." Because he insulted her terribly on the spot and threw away of her teacup. From here Selen filed a lawsuit against Yaman. Later on, The Istanbul court ordered Can Yaman to pay a fine of 7,830 Turkish liras.

Personal Life and Divorce

Selen lives in Izmir with her mother Behice Yazıcı and continues her acting career from here. She has no children yet.
